Adventures in Solar Cooking

(This is my first diary here, let me know if the subject matter doesn't quite fit!)
It started with a solar accident. In my spring planting, I had left various gardening paraphernalia outside. This included a large shiny metal bowl (for mixing soil amendments) and two 4" round plastic flower pots that had once held begonias from the nursery.
I went outside one extremely warm evening to a strange sight, the flower pots (which were stacked inside the metal bowl) had a gaping hole burned right through them! Was it all due to reflected sunlight? I turned the pots around and checked the next day. Sure enough, another hole. The sun was the culprit.
