One interview, three days ago, and I've got me a job. A different kind of job- it's a 6 employee place right now, so tiny and new and all that stuff. There's a lot of faith involved in a start up but I think it's the right thing for me right now. I can still do the "big thinking" I need to do but be involved in the type of design and organizational work I like to do while I'm thinking.

Shortest unemployment time ever! Whoo hoo! :)

As some of you might remember from past posts, I lost my job at the end of January and have been searching non-stop ever since. Today I got GREAT news- a job offer from a company that I really, really loved. It was a phone offer, the written offer is in the mail and should be here tomorrow. I am so relieved, because the job is close enough to home to be a decent commute, the offer actually includes a raise which is fabulous. I am excited.

Of course, when it rains it pours. As this process has taken 2 and a half months, I have of course continued applying and interviewing with other companies. One of those companies is a Non-profit organization in downtown Chicago. Being the progressive type, the prospect of working for a company that is dedicated to bettering the world is something I have talked about doing since I graduated college. So here is this opportunity, I had a great first interview, and today, the same day I was offered a job, I got a call for a second interview at the NP.
