I had posted a comment or two before regarding my youngest brother and the potential of a permanent break up between him and his live-in girlfriend of 8 years. When the major problems started floating to the surface, it was extremely upsetting to me in ways I fail to be able to describe even now. I don't have any sisters, but for the past 5 of the 8 years, I kind of have. Lily is bonded with Auntie Sara in amazing ways- top 4 people, right under Busia, Grandma and the Grandpas (who pretty well share a spot). She's our day care emergency contact for crying out loud! She has been a weekly fixture in out house; we're in similar work-fields and I've helped her with school projects and resumes and advice and all sorts of familial (and friendly) things. I love her parents, their dog...

So I'm just not breaking up with her. Nope. Not gonna do it.
