In case you are wondering how we made our selections, we are about to post a mission statement in the "about us" section as we hope to regularly get new voices on the frontpage. Stay tuned!

Basically, we were looking for good writers and a plethora of opinions and life experiences representative of the women on this site. NJmom and I have similar backgrounds -- hey, I was even born in Jersey! -- in that we both "opted out" of professional careers for the mommy track, yet dabble in a lot of different topics online and offline.

Dana we felt does a superb job of covering the gay parenting community. Please check out her website, Mombian, if you have not already done so.

I know I have promoted several of brave's diaries for similar competency in the adoption "beat." I have never met brave -- or any of our new frontpagers in person -- yet, I have learned so much about the adoptive process and politics from her.
