There are so many things on the news that it's kinda hard to focus on just one thing.
In Political News:
The Senate passed a revised bail out package last night.
The House was always the intended audience for Wednesday’s action in the Senate, which loaded the rescue plan with tax breaks and other sweeteners for the right and the left to secure approval in the House by Friday.
According to the article, the Senate package would add $100 billion in tax breaks for businesses and the middle class while temporarily raising the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.’s cap on coverage of bank deposits from $100,000 to $250,000.
How do you feel about the bail out plan?
In other political news, the vice-presidential debates are being held tonite at Washington University in St. Louis Athletic Complex. I don't know about you, but I plan on being glued to my television at 6pm (pacific time).
If you would like a count-down meter to how many days are left before we elect our next president, you can bookmark this meter, which shows that there are 32 days left until the election.
I. Can't. Wait.
And in good news, there are 109 days before Bush leaves office.
In Entertainment News:
Sharon Stone petitioned the courts to modify the custody of her 8-year-old son, which gave primary custody to Stone's ex-husband, Phil Bronstein. Her petition was rejected.
This week, court papers were released that detailed Sharon Stone's "parenting overreactions", including her suggestion that her son get Botox injections to rid him of smelly feet.
The court contended that Stone is a drama queen of a mother who has gone off the deep end over and over, and refused the “Basic Instinct” star’s request to move her son to Los Angeles for “better medical attention.”
Botox injections on an 8-year-old's smelly feet? How about a good ol' fashion scrubbing of the feet with soap and water?
In case you hadn't heard, Heather Locklear was arrested on suspicion of a DUI, but as it turns out...she may have been set up.
TMZ reports that the caller was former Us Weekly staffer Jill Ishkanian, who watched a seemingly impaired Locklear get into her car and called authorities. Her next call, they claim, was to a paparazzi agency.
Ishkanian photographed Locklear's sobriety test, then sold the pictures for more than $27,000. Hmmm...sounds like Ms. Locklear was being stalked.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so why don't you all do me (and yourselves) a little favor, and feel your boobies up! Many suspicious breast lumps are found by women performing self-exams. When you know how your breast normally feels, you will be able to feel any changes.
What's else is going on?
