I can’t believe I missed this funny tidbit.

Gawker found some old footage of Tom Cruise extolling the benefits of Scientology to the masses. (YouTube clip embedded in above link.) As Gawker said, “If Tom Cruise jumping on Oprah's couch was an 8 on the scale of scary, this is a 10.”

It made its way across the Internet and onto this Entertainment Weekly poll:

In his defense, the clip was from 2004. Surely, he has toned it down a tad since jumping on Oprah’s couch. BTW, his friends, including Adam Sandler and Demi Moore, recently came to his defense amid the media hype, according to People magazine.
