We're moving!

After 10 years of renting in the same place, 6 years of half-hearted house-hunting, and 9 months of serious searching - we found "our" house!  I don't believe in "fate" or "destiny", but I do believe that persistence and a little bit of luck can work together, and great things can happen!  

We are only moving 6 blocks from where we live now.  We all love our neighborhood, so we only looked in a specific area.  We saw every house for sale or Open House within a mile of our apartment for the past year, so when we saw this house, we knew it was perfect for us!

It has totally renovated bathrooms (2 full bathrooms - in our 'hood that's rare), a beautiful kitchen with new appliances, a guest room (no more hotels for my parents!), and even a little yard that we can sit out in during the summer.

The kids are so happy - the house  is only 1 1/2 blocks from my DS's school - he's already planned that in two years, in 5th grade, he can walk to school on his own and then walk to the pizzeria afterschool and walk himself home.  My DD16 will get a bedroom at least twice the size of the one she's in now and a brand new bed to go with it.  Here are a few photos.  The furniture, and the dining room light, are not ours - but you get the general idea.
