When I get it back I'll have to figure out how to post it! He's here doing an interview with Tom Vslick (sp?) who just announced his candidacy. So if you all watch the ABC Sunday morning news shows be sure to look for that interivew-it's filmed in the historic mansion where the theater I work for has its offices!

I'm 5'10 and on a good day feel like an Amazonia freak of nature -- I felt REALLY tall next to him!

Okay, I have a funny George Steph. story. This seems an appropriate place to tell it.
I lived in DC during most of the Clinton years -- from 1992- and then with my husband from 1997 - 2000.
When we lived in Woodley Park, near the zoo, in the late 90s, we saw George from a distance a couple of times, usually entering or exiting the gym on Dupont Circle. Well, it then became a joke with us everytime we saw a short guy with a lot of thick dark hair. "Look Honey, there's George Stephanopoulous.
So, one busy Saturday night, we're waiting to be seated at Lebanese Taverna, one of our favorite restaurants, when my husband leans over to me and says in a fairly loud voice, "Look honey, it's George Stephanapoulous," thinking it was the hundreth generic short guy with thick dark hair.
Oops! It really was George!!! Oh, we were mortified. Did he hear us? Probably, but he didn't let on. They seated him right near us and I was just so embarrassed for the whole night!!!

We lived in Dupont Circle in the late 90s and used to see him around too. Along with various other DC type celebs... but can you really dine out on having seen Donna Shalala and Richard Rubin?

  I remember during the '96 campaign, GS came to Mass for a campaign appearance with John Kerry - the two of them standing next to each other was about the most incongruous thing you've ever seen.
  GS may touch about 5'4", but that's about it, I reckon.
