  • Huh. (0 / 0)

I never wondered.  I was downright happy I didn't have to deal with it.  I kinda dreaded the whole thing, actually.

    • I didn't mind not having PMS (0 / 0)

but I did wonder when it was gonna happen. And suffered the slings and arrows of being called "ironing board chest".

I wonder how it'll turn out for Jess; both DH and I hit puberty late, so I'm presuming that it'll be similar for her.

    • I had a really sweet (0 / 0)

mother/daughter moment with Karina. Of course, we had been talking about it for a while. What I did (before she started) is go to the store with her and had her pick out her own supplies. I bought her everything she needed. We discussed hygiene, keeping track of your period to avoid embarrassing accidents, and everything associated with periods, including cramps. When she started her period (on Christmas Eve 2006) she called me into the bathroom and told me. I handed her one of the pads we had bought for her and reminded her how to put it on and waited for her outside. When she came out, I hugged her and cried my eyes out. I don't even know why.
