Great news on your daughter, but so sad about your mother's friend.  I understand your feelings of survivors guilt (felt similar when I saw an obit in the paper of a baby born the same day as Milo, who I remembered from the NICU), but just remind yourself that you didn't "take" somebody else's healthy baby.  You got lucky, and she, tragically, didn't.
