Babyfish gets hiccups ALL THE FREAKIN TIME! And not for 10 or 15 minutes, more like 45. It happens several times a day, particularly at that blissful moment where I get the "giant body vs. multiple pillows" ratio just right ... I tried to describe it to some non parent co workers and all I could think of was "Try to imagine how horrible it would be if there was a little alien in your body with the hiccups, and you couldn't control it, stop it, or excise it." Their sympathy went up a few notches!
Oh yeah, and in the last couple of days, my toes have started swelling to resemble little sausages.
Of course, when I am up nursing every two hours in a month or so, these will be "the good ol' days". Ha!

but yeah, compared to nursing every two hours it will be a breeze! And you're still working too! Wow. At least I can drop my daughter off for school for three whole hours everyday at school!
Those hiccups kill me. I wish I could hold my breath for them, you know?

Lol! I thought that maybe it would translate into the baby "holding" it's breath through the cord! Um, it didn't work.

had hiccups like that all the time. But, the funny thing is my first (DD) NEVER had them! I had no idea what people were talking about - I kept thinking something was wrong and I just couldn't feel it. Or they were over-exaggerating! Now I know she just didn't have them. My DS made up for DD not having hiccups! And I love your explanation.
