Yeah, you're five years younger than me, so no way you're middle aged.
But your kids are way older than mine, so....I think I need footnotes for the math here....

since I had them at 35. My SIL is my age but my niece and nephew are 20 and turning 18 this weekend. YIKES!

my son was born seven days before my twenty-first birthday. Daughter came along a little over a year later.
Choosing to have children at such a relatively young age was a gamble as I was pretty much a knuckle-head at the time. Not stupid or reckless, just a bit lacking in what some might call "common sense".
Darn. I was going to argue that I'm much wiser now, and probably would be a better parent, but it just won't wash. At 35, my knuckle-head quotient is still embarrassingly high.

Started in my early twenties. And now, I'm glad. I'm way to old and set in my ways these days to be able to do what it takes to deal with infants and small children.

the whole "you can't be middle aged" thing too.
I'm 42 and older than you and I don't consider myself middle aged. Harumph!
