Bonding and birth are mutually exclusive

I completely agree.  Heck... I bonded with my dog and she certainly didn't come out of my womb!

Also, good hospital births are possible.  

I think a traumatic birth can affect a mom's psyche.  But, that doesn't mean it'll necessarily the bonding experience between mother and child.
