My partner and I are pretty "square" people (extreme liberal politics not withstanding), and have been searching for baby names.  He hated most things I came up with, calling them weird.  One night I said "Wednesday".  Thought he would laugh at me.  He LOVES it.  So do I.  So hopefully, babyfish will be the girl child I am hoping for and will be named Wednesday.  People seem to think it's odd but likeable.  We still don't know for a boy...

I went to college with a "Candida" (went by Candy).  My mom went to high school with a "Phallus".  His mom read it in a book and didn't know what it meant, but thought it sounded good.
