    my marriage is better now, post-kid, because we are obligated to act like real grown-ups now. There's not enough time for the selfish hissy fits we could indulge in before.

      we have a collaborative "project" that we are equally passionate about.  That may sound selfish and objectifying of the kids, but we do value them as people, so I don't feel bad.
