  • Fish oil (0 / 0)

It can also be contaminated from mercury, so it means we have to read labels. Some brands at Whole Foods and the like specifically mention that the fish were not contaminated.

Gross side note, has anyone else ever been able to take fish oil tablets? I have reflux problems and whenever I take the tabs I burp up nasty fish oil for hours afterward -- NOT what a pregnant lady needs in the morning!

    • If you are really (0 / 0)

that concerned about it, flax seeds and flax seed oil are good alternatives. They dont' have as much or quite the same as fish, but should be adequate.

      • Love the Flax (0 / 0)

I've never tried the oil, but I like to add flax seeds to my cereal. The other problem is that my DH does not like salmon. So I've had a hard time finding much of the "safe" fish at the supermarket to cook at home.

odorless Omega-3s.  You're not the only one that doesn't enjoy that fishy aftertaste, especially in the a.m.  Yuck.
