Not only is Alex battling a cold, but he has a previously scheduled batting lesson with his baseball coach and a little league practice this afternoon. Luckily this all occurs on the field attached to his school. My biopsy is scheduled for 2:00pm. So, I will be at the doctor's office while he is on the baseball field. IOW - not reachable! His dad is overseas. Who do the coaches call if he is really sick or gets hurt?! Argh. Of course I think of this as I am driving him to school this morning. Way to think ahead mom. So I scribbled cell phone numbers on an envelope for him. Mine - which I will have on silent mode but can check periodically except during the actual procedure of course - and his brothers as I at least remembered that Nick has the day off today and could get to Alex in a pinch.

He and I will be off the next two days as it is semester break for them and I planned to stay home with him. I think we will both be very happy to have a pajama day on the couch after this maddening week!
