as well as receive, or so my non scientific poll suggets. We were going to do No Gifts for my DDs 4th birthday, but after I polled a few parents they said their kids would be crushed not to bring a gift. I also polled the parents about whether or not to open gifts at the party (it takes up so much time and is quite boring to me) and the response was similar to the no gifts theme: they not only like to bring gifts, they love to see the recipent open them.
