Hi all!
Once again I will be hosting the newly renamed “Parents Caucus” at Netroots Nation this year. Because last year’s event at an ice cream parlor in Austin was a success, I will once again take the event offsite to — the Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh!
All are invited, including children. We can meet in front of the Convention Center at 1 p.m. to share cab rides. Here are the details of the event:
What: Netroots Nation Parents Caucus
When: Thursday, August 13
Time: 1:30 p.m.
Where: Hard Rock Cafe in Bessemer Court at Station Square in Pittsburgh, PA

And quite possibly, now that I look back I can see that my grandmother living with us while I grew up was possibly one of the most positive influences on my upbringing.
My mom
kicked her mom out of our guest house. Oy. Not a good memory, but now I understand it (because I would NOT want my mother living that close to me!!!!).

Elisa I’m sorry i didn’t get back to you yet about the details of the “T”…have been really busy yesterday and today. But I will post directions later- it’s fast and free, if you don’t want to take a cab.

Someone at DKos commented that there were not that many cabs downtown. We may have to take public transportation to get there. If you could let me know, I will post directions as soon as we get closer to the date.

dates for next year
Are these set yet? I would like to come but school starts the second week of August here. Earlier is better for those of us in the South.
DH came to the conference in 2007 and it’s still my turn next…

Or is that all announced at the conference this year? I’d also love to try to come. But can’t make it this year. 15 year high school reunion. In retrospect I’m thinking it would have been better to plan on NN

…my only issue is…there is a panel I am eyeing at 3pm and I don’t think I’d make it back in time
